About Mental Health In The Workplace

About us:  We are Mental Health In The Workplace, co-founded by Gary Johannes and Tamsen Garrie, both of whom have been supporting organisations and the well-being and development of the people who work within them, for longer than we can remember!

We work in partnership with organisations who recognise that the success of the organisation is reliant on the success of the people that work within it, and that people success ultimately comes down to their level of mental wellbeing.

Managers are best placed to create an environment where
positive mental health is enabled and people thrive

Our Philosophy

We believe that every human being has the right to understand what leads to compromised mental health and how it impacts the brain and the body…

So that they can take responsibility for their own self-care and proactively minimise the possibility and the impact of stress, both in their life and work.

We believe that training in mental health awareness is an essential step in equipping people with the knowledge, tools and confidence to better manage their own wellbeing, and that training managers how to manage mental health at work is key to creating an environment where positive mental health is both valued and enabled.

And we believe that organisations that inspire a culture of wellness and create a working environment where people truly thrive, will ultimately thrive as a result.
