Managing Mental Wellbeing

Mental Health Management Training – FULL DAY

A comprehensive workshop which equips managers and leaders with the knowledge, skills, tools and confidence to enable the wellbeing of their team, through understanding mental health, learning how to nurture a positive environment, spotting early signs of common conditions and having the confidence to respond appropriately.

The knowledge, tools and confidence to avoid compromised mental health

The workshop also takes learners on an exploration of the political landscape influencing the enhanced focus on mental health at work, as well as the legal responsibility on employers to protect the mental health and safety of the people that work in the organisation.

It looks at the role of the manager in creating a positive working environment and provides insight and tools to enable them to better manage mental health at work for the benefit of all.

Combining presentations and current statistical content with group activities and discussions, all rooted in modern science, this workshop equips learners with the following:

An understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect mental wellbeing

The knowledge and skills to better manage their own mental wellbeing

Appreciation of the benefit to the organisation of proactively managing mental health in the workplace

Appreciation of the role of employers and the role of the manager in managing mental health

Self-awareness and insight into their own mental health status and challenges

The ability to identify the triggers and spot the signs of common mental health issues

Understanding of the political landscape and the law in relation to health and safety and mental health

Insight into what causes work-related stress and the confidence and tools to support someone with a mental health issue

Everyone who completes the course gets a workbook and manual which details all learning content and highlights key points to remember and actions to take so that they can refer back at any time and refresh their knowledge, enabling them to implement their new knowledge and skills immediately.

They also receive a certificate to say that they have attended the Managing Mental Health course.

Numbers are limited to 16 people per course so that we can ensure people feel safe and supported while they learn.
